Franklin Mint John Wayne Commemorative 1871 Colt .45 RevolverThis single-action revolver, with a 3/4-inch barrel (serial number 151284) matches John Wayne's personal pistol which he carried in many western films.

It bears John Wayne's signature and has been embellished with oak leaf scrollwork designs and 22 karat gold electroplate accents over burnished nickel.The grips have a slightly stained look. This is to replicate Duke's real grips that he soaked in tea to create the look.

It is not designed to load or fire bullets, but the hammer, trigger, and chamber all work. The chamber can also be removed.Comes with a distinctive wall display, fitted with solid brass pistol mounts in the form of .45-caliber cartridges, each bearing the initials "JW" and a brass nameplate.
