Royal Copenhagen 1908 "Madonna & Child" Christmas Plate

Offering the first  Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plate, 1908. The plate features Mary and the baby Jesus, surrounding by radiating rays of light, with the inscription JUL ("Christmas" in Danish) and the date 1908. The design was created by Christian Thomsen, who created many of Royal Copenhagen's most popular figurines. 

It is embossed on Danish porcelain and hand painted in traditional Copenhagen blue under the glaze. Diameter is 6". Pierced foot for hanging wire. Plate is marked on the back, including the three wavy line trademark of Royal Copenhagen.

You can feel a little roughness on the edge, you can't see it but you can feel it, tried to get a close up picture. It appears to be underglaze.
