ROYAL COPENHAGEN 1946 Christmas Plate Snow-covered Landscape & Church is the subject of the Royal Copenhagen 1946 Christmas plate, featuring the Church at Farum, a small village outside Copenhagen. The church is a traditional Danish village church with a large square brick tower in front.The scene is embossed on Danish porcelain and hand painted in traditional Copenhagen blue under the glaze, approximate diameter 7.25 inches. The inscription includes the date 1946 and the word JUL -- the Danish word for CHRISTMAS, pronounced like the English word YULE. Appropriately marked on the back including the three wavy line trademark of Royal Copenhagen.
