Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plate 1940

1940 Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate, designed by Kaj Lange, has the title Shepherd in a desert-landscape. Royal Copenhagen's Christmas plate from 1940 depicts the good shepherd with his dog and sheep, looking towards the desert. This motif is taken from John 10:7-18, and perhaps the fact that Denmark was occupied by the Germans at this time, has contributed to choosing this motif.
